Note Printing Australia (NPA) has over 100 years’ experience manufacturing high security bank notes and passports for both the Australian and international markets. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Officer to join our team for a Maternity Leave contract. Reporting to the Head of HR, this is a fast-paced role providing support in recruitment, HR initiatives, operational activities and on-boarding. The role will start with a 6-month contract with potential extend to 18 months. The role will ideally suit applicants looking for employment during school hours however we will consider other part time arrangements.

The key responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

  • Administration support with recruitment; i.e. advertising,  phone screening, coordination of psychometric testing, pre-employment checks and employment agreements.
  • Maintaining the on-boarding system and support management throughout the on-boarding process with new hires
  • Support management with the plan for weekly labour hire requirements
  • Ensure Employee files are up to date
  • Support with the the annual grading of staff positions and preparation of salary review spreadsheets
  • Coordination of monthly reporting

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role such as HR Coordinator/Administrator
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High level of skill across Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidential information maturely and appropriately
  • Act with a high degree of security awareness
  • Strong customer focus
